After yesterdays evil poker session. I decided to drop a few levels and play .10/.25 NL 8 tables. Made half my money back and gain a new respect for deep stack players.
After 4 hours of Business Law reading (halfway done for the night) and watching MUCKEMSAYUHH play Ivey HUs, I decided to have a short session. Why not I gotta get my Daily Points for Iron Man. Todays session was what I call a successful day for the month. Ended up once cap. F'in Sweet. Better than a down day. Played well other than the fact i can't fold when i know they have aces.
Heres some Hand History from the day. Leave comments thanks

I'm not pissed about the set. Quick question though. Once I raise with A9s I have to go broke when i hit my Ace right?

Is this a good spot to check raise or should have I Cbet like normal? I feel like if i miss the turn out of position is tricky to play. Id rather get it all in on the flop.

1) I don't think you have to go broke at all on the A9 hand. I think its tempting to, and I probably make the same mistake. But unless this guy is CONSTANTLY c/minraising you on the flop, what do we beat? this is a dry board. I think you have to bet this sometimes and a check behind should maybe be used just as often. It gives people a chance to bluff because we checked behind (which we never do) and it gives us a chance to possibly not lose a full cap.
2) KQs hand with 10104 board....I really don't know. I think here we're either nicely ahead or a good bit behind. I lean towards betting though because players at .50/1 aren't always going to try to take this away on the flop when you don't c-bet here, and then we're left with a good bit of money behind in a semi-awkward spot when we whiff the turn. I like bet/begrudgingly call all-in on the flop hoping to just take it down. But what you did here isn't wrong at all. Probably just as good.
3) WTF are you doing calling a UTG raise with 76s out of position.?!? This guy better have been a maniac...even then its incorrect. Don't do this crap.
