ok just realized that the same preflop scenario happened in both hands. I really like my check on the flop on hand 2. should i have checked the flop in hand 1?

Hand 2: I want to tell you to c-bet that shit, but then again thats just a gross beat, nothing you can do against dumb luck.
Hand 1: ok hands like this I think we should really try to include as much information as possible as far as our reads on the player, any reads, timing stuff on the particular hand...That said, you do have two correct choices up. I think we probably never do one EVERY time, but that we'll mix it up based on a read....I'm double barreling most of the time here though. He can a number of hands that can't withstand the heat of another strong bet (that we commit ourselves with), AND we've got re-draws for an overpair/nutflush.....or he has a set.
If this didn't work out (i'm assuming it didn't): at .50/1 (and probably whati should be doing at 1/2 but am too cautious) I only use this to my advantage and start double barrel value betting with a bit weaker made hands, because ususally if anyone is paying attention they'lll peg you on "oh this guy just bets bets bets even if has nothing, i'll show him"
AND another thing to consider is protecting our check here by checking with the intent to reshove on the turn with our good made hands.....
